Fall leaves are excellent subjects -- they're easy to find and they don't complain much when you need to take a shot more than once! I struggle with wanting to shoot pictures of fall leaves because it's hard to come up with new shots or new inspiration. Leaves are are just leaves, after all.
But I love finding ways to make sure there's more color in my photos, other than the reds and oranges of maples, like the one here. Waiting until the background has its own character is something I aim for and yesterday was perfect for that. I'm not sure which I like better -- the intense blue of the sky as a back drop or the light coming through the leaves.
What do you do to turn up the volume on subjects you find yourself drawn to again and again?
